A totem is an object imbued with importance, often with spiritual significance. Totems can take many forms, but their power is always created through belief. In this relational art piece, our belief is in Art.
The items collected for this show have uniquely touched the lives of the generous art lovers who donated them. The request was for “trinkets with a story.”
If you’ve scanned the QR code, thank you for participating in my relational art piece. Unless otherwise indicated on your object, you have 365 days to pass on the item in your possession.

When you receive a token, you are invited to pass it along within 1 year. Submit your Offering Story when you give to another.
In the gallery, participants are asked to choose the object they feel most called to. Once they’ve touched it, they have to take it.
Each totem should be offered to someone important. Unless otherwise indicated, you have 365 days to gift the item. Thank you for your engagement.
In giving to one another, we establish a bridge of connection. In this artist’s opinion, connection to others through Art is among the purest. The work intends to create spiritual Awe in the space between us. Offering these totems as a means of connection is also a ritual offering to Art.
